LASHES
What are lash extensions?
Lash extensions are synthetic or man-made lashes applied to your natural lashes by certified artists. This technique enhances the curliness, volume, and length of your lashes through a variety of styles. Technicians use semi-permanent adhesive to apply the extensions about 2mm above the lash line, covering 80-100% of your natural lashes. The application is done with specially designed tweezers. Popular styles include classic, hybrid, volume, cat eye, and doll eye, tailored to individual preferences.
How long is the lash extension process?
The application of a full set of lash extensions typically takes between 1.5 to 2.5 hours. The duration varies based on your natural eye shape and lash health.
How long do extensions last?
Lash extensions usually last between 5 to 6 weeks. Some people may need or want fills every 2 to 4 weeks. Factors such as natural lash shedding, makeup, humidity, oil, sleeping habits, and touching or rubbing the lashes can affect their longevity. To extend their lifespan, use lash shampoo daily, get fills regularly, avoid oily products near your eyes, and refrain from picking at the extensions.
Do extensions damage your natural lashes?
No, lash extensions do not damage your natural lashes if applied correctly. Trained lash technicians isolate each natural lash before attaching an extension, ensuring that the extension falls out with the natural lash. They also use appropriate widths and lengths to prevent strain on your natural lashes. If a requested style is too heavy, they will recommend a lighter, safer option to protect your lash health.
Can I swim/shower with lash extensions?
Yes, you can swim and shower with lash extensions. It’s best to wait 24 hours after your appointment to allow the adhesive to fully bond. Keeping your lashes clean promotes better retention and helps avoid infections. After getting your lashes wet, brush them to prevent sticking and maintain their fluffiness and volume. If desired, you can use a blow dryer on a low setting from a distance of 2 feet to help them dry.
What is the difference between classic, hybrid, and volume lash extensions?
Classic Lash Extensions: A single synthetic lash is bonded to each isolated natural lash, creating a natural look.
Volume Lash Extensions: Fans of 4-8 thinner lashes are bonded to each isolated natural lash, creating a fuller look.
Hybrid Lash Extensions: A mix of classic and volume lashes for a wispy, textured look.
Mega Volume Lash Extensions: Fans of 8-12 even thinner lashes are bonded to each isolated lash for an ultra-full look, depending on the health of your natural lashes.
What is a lash lift and tint, and how long does it last?
A lash lift and tint is a four-step process where your natural lashes are semi-permanently lifted with two solutions, then tinted with a darker dye, and finished with nourishing oil. This treatment lasts about 4-6 weeks.
What is the aftercare for lash lifts and tints?
After a lash lift and tint, nourish your lashes with oil to prevent dryness from the perming solutions. Avoid getting your lashes wet for 24 hours post-treatment. After this period, you can wear makeup, including mascara, as desired.

For 24 hours after your appointment no washing/ and especially scrubbing your brows to enhance the process! Refrain from sun exposure for the first 24 hours and do not apple retin A, AHA products. If irritation occurs contact a doctor immediately.
GENERAL QUESTIONS
How should I prepare for my appointment?
To prepare for your lash appointment, arrive with no makeup on, especially around the eye area. Remove any leftover mascara and take out contact lenses if you wear them. Avoid drinking coffee before your appointment to prevent eye twitchiness. For comfort, you can bring headphones and a blanket to create a relaxing environment.
How do I know if I have allergies or irritation?
Inform your lash technician of any allergies before your appointment. Keep your eyes relaxed and closed during the application to prevent fumes from entering your eyes. Allergies can develop over time, even if you have been getting lash extensions for years. If you are concerned about a potential reaction, ask for a spot test, where 2-4 extensions are applied and monitored for 72 hours. If any reaction occurs, seek medical attention immediately.
